Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Windows VPN (referred to as "the Service," "we," or "us") collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information when providing the mobile application (the "App"). We process data according to this policy, applicable law, and the principles of necessity, transparency, and security.
When you download, install, or launch the App, we may collect information required to operate the service, including your Internet Protocol (IP) address, device model, operating system version, in-app activity paths, crash logs, and approximate region. This information is used for: 1. Route recommendations: matching you with more suitable connection options based on Windows VPN node availability; 2. Performance improvement: identifying regional failures, congestion, and compatibility issues through anonymized statistics; 3. Service notices: sending security alerts, version updates, or subscription messages to your registered email or account. We do not expand necessary service data into unrelated tracking.
We share anonymized or aggregated data with trusted infrastructure or analytics providers only when necessary, such as Google Play Services and Firebase crash analysis. Except in the following cases, we do not disclose personal information to third parties: 1. To comply with legal process, regulatory obligations, or valid government requests; 2. To protect users, investigate fraud, or address safety risks; 3. To work with service providers bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations. To stop new data collection, uninstall the App through your device settings.
User-provided data is retained during the account period and for a reasonable retention window afterward. To request account deletion, profile removal, or privacy assistance, contact us at [email protected]. The App is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from that group. If such data is discovered, we will delete it as soon as reasonably possible. We protect information through access controls, encrypted transmission, permission minimization, and security review.
This Privacy Policy may be updated due to legal, regulatory, or product changes. Please review this page periodically. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised terms. This policy is effective as of October 4, 2025. If you have questions, complaints, or suggestions about privacy handling, contact the Windows VPN team by email at [email protected].
